Aaron B. Markowitz

Aaron Markowitz has been practicing as a plaintiffs’ attorney for more than fourteen years. In that time he has concentrated his practice on helping individuals pursue legal actions against large corporations and insurance companies– prosecuting cases involving everything from employment discrimination to catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death. Mr. Markowitz originally founded the Markowitz Law Group in 2003 with his two brothers, which then merged with the Law Offices of Joseph W. Carcione, Jr. in 2005. Mr. Markowitz then left Carcione, Cattermole, Dolinski, Stucky, Markowitz and Carcione in 2012 and re-established the Markowitz Law Group with offices in San Diego, San Mateo and San Jose.

Professional Associations

Mr. Markowitz currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Consumer Attorneys of California and he is a Past President for the San Mateo County Trial Lawyers’ Association. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly the American Trial Lawyers’ Association) and the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego.

Mr. Markowitz is licensed and certified to appear before all of the California State Courts; the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; the United States District Court for the Southern District of California; the United States District Court for the Northern District of California; the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California; and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

Education

Mr. Markowitz graduated from University of Notre Dame Law School with honors in 2001 where he received the following accolades: Thomas J. White Scholar; Editor-Journal of Law, Ethics, and Public Policy; Arthur Abel Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Art of Oral Advocacy; Moot Court Showcase Argument; National Appellate Moot Court Team; Moot Court Board; Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team; Vice-President– International Law Society.

Before that Mr. Markowitz attended Cal. State Univ. San Bernardino where he received his B.A. in Political Science and studied for an M.A. in National Security Studies. While at CSUSB, Mr. Markowitz served as the Theta Iota Chapter President for Pi Sigma Alpha (Political Science National Honors Society) and as the head delegate for the schools National Model United Nations Conference delegation
